Built in 1979, Pacific Sunrise is a gold class sailing ship with distinction, elegance and indulgance. One of our most popular luxury sailing vessels, the boutique vessel accommodates a maximum of 17 guests and 5 crew. Boasting 3 different deck levels and eight private guest suites with ensuites.

 

Pacific Sunrise will carry you on a journey amongst the heritage listed Whitsunday Islands region of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, as well as to areas of the outer Great Barrier Reef. At these fantastic locations our crew will assist you to snorkel over coral reefs, view marine life from a glass bottom boat, explore tropical islands, beautiful sandy beaches and island rainforest.

 

The Pacific Sunrise claims the largest suites of any sailing vessel in the Whitsundays and also have ensuites as well. Each suite is air conditioned and has its own name and distinct style allowing guests to choose the ambiance of their vacation in advance. Your experience is further enhanced by the use of exotic lumbers and the unique tropical layout. The fully functional galley, bar and dining room have plenty of seating and provide numerous areas in which to socialize. But if seclusion is what you're seeking, then the balconies on the three deck levels allow guests to retreat to their own private spaces and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Whitsunday Islands.

The gourmet dining on Pacific Sunrise compliments the sailing adventure and the onboard chef creates a delicious feast every breakfast, lunch and dinner using fresh local produce. A licensed bar provides a fantastic selection of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails available for your enjoyment.

 

What we Think?

Pacific Sunrise is a beautiful sailing ship and offers guests a truly unique way to experience the Whitsundays. The cabins are spacious and they have large private ensuites. The difference between the Deluxe Staterooms and Staterooms is the size of the room and bed. Generally we book all ages couples seeking a relaxed sail or honeymooners/anniversaries. For those seeking extra privacy we suggest either the Blue Pearl Suite or the Whitehaven Suite. Offers a unique sail for the discerning traveller.
