Day Three - Hobart to Maatsuyker to Strahan Enjoying breakfast at Hadley's Hotel, AAA guests are soon to resume taking to the air for an amazing scenic flight around the southern-most lighthouse and tiny coastal islands of Australia, namely the Maatsuyker Group. AAA pilots will decide either to then track north to over-fly Lake Pedder and the Gordon River or to follow the coast, dependent upon pilot's discretion considering the southerly winds and weather. Hell's Gates is the name of the wild-water entrance to Macquarie Harbour, returning to Strahan. AAA pilots depart Strahan flying guests to King Island. On arrival, guests are offered time to refresh for dinner. King Island is predominantly known for its fromagerie, however, lobster or crayfish is a staple food for islanders. Dining on lobster, local produce and fine wine from the region is a highlight, until that is, AAA guides arrange a very special evening adventure to Grassy.
