Day 1: Perth to Monkey Mia (L, D)

We journey north via the 'lobster fishing' town of Port Denison where we stop for lunch by the waters edge. We continue north across the Greenough Flats, better known for unusual 'leaning trees', travel via Geraldton and Northampton to the world heritage listed area of Shark Bay to our overnight accommodation located at the Monkey Mia beach where the dolphins come in.

Dinner & Overnight: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort or similar (motel room with ensuite bathroom).

 

Day 2: Monkey Mia to Carnarvon (B, L, D)

As our accommodation is located right at the dolphin interaction beach, you can spend extra time at the waters edge this morning where you may encounter a visit by the famous Monkey Mia dolphins. As they are wild, dolphin appearances can't be guaranteed but coming in at regular times through the day to interact with people has been a ritual for many years.

 

Maximise your Monkey Mia visit by joining an optional 1 hour wildlife sailing cruise aboard the award-winning, awesome 18 metre sailing catamaran 'Shotover'. Seasonally meet dolphins, dugongs, turtles, sharks, sting-rays and sea-snakes (unconditional monkey-back guarantee). This afternoon we visit the town of Denham for lunch, incredible Shell Beach and Stromatolites before travelling north to Carnarvon for our 2 night stay.

Day 4: Carnarvon to Kalbarri (B, L, D)

Known for wildflowers (best seen July to October) and magnificent rocky landscapes we visit Hawks Head in Kalbarri   National Park , one of the areas most spectacular red river gorges. Stops will also be made to view seasonal wildflowers, before we then travel to the coastal township of Kalbarri.

Dinner & Overnight: Best Western Kalbarri Palms Resort or similar (motel room with ensuite bathroom).

 

Day 5: Kalbarri to Perth (B, L, D)

Homeward bound, we enjoy sightseeing along the Kalbarri coastal gorges then travel south breaking for lunch (own expense) at the rock lobster fishing village of Cervantes gateway to the renowned Pinnacles Desert, an amazing moon-like landscape and truly one of Australia's most mystical experiences. Time will be allowed to stroll among these limestone spires and take photographs, with arrival back in Perth at approximately .

Day 6: Perth & Fremantle Tour (B, D)

Join our Perth & Fremantle   City Explorer Tour (PFC). Starting in Perth , the tour takes in all major attractions, beginning with Kings Park botanical gardens, where you have time to experience a walk through the trees canopies on the “Tree Top Walk”. Later continue to Cottesloe   Beach  before arriving at historic Fremantle. Here you join the Swan River Cruise back to Perth with Captain Cook Cruises. Onboard, relax into panoramic scenery of Perth as you enjoy a Western Australian wine tasting whilst cruising by extravagant waterfront houses of Millionaires Row. Return to Perth at approximately Alternatively, stay on in Fremantle for free time and return on a later cruise.

Day 7: Wave Rock (B, L, D)

Heading east we enjoy morning tea (own expense) at historic York , the first township founded in the Avon   Valley . Visit the Dog   Cemetery before arriving in Hyden. We then visit Hippo’s Yawn, a rock formation which resembles a hippo yawning. We then break for a picnic lunch at the Wildflower Shop. See the spectacle of Wave Rock and the ancient Gnamma Holes. Whilst here visit either a Wildlife   Park or view a unique Antique Lace Collection.

 

 

Leaving Wave Rock we visit The Humps and finally Mulka’s Cave. We return to Perth via a different route and stop at the quaint country town of Babakin for afternoon tea (own expense). Arrive in Perth at approximately .

Day 8: Perth to Albany (B, L, D)

We travel southwards via the Stirling Range and Porongurup Range National Parks, before reaching historic Albany, Western Australia’s first European settlement.

Dinner & Overnight: Comfort Inn, Albany or similar.

 

 

Day 9: Albany to Pemberton (B, L, D)

After coastal sightseeing visiting “The Gap” and “ Natural   Bridge ”, we travel via Denmark through spectacular karri tree forests to the coastal resort town of Walpole . Here we join our local guide “Gary” for a luncheon cruise on Nornalup Inlet, widely regarded as one of the last great wilderness areas. Gary will delight all with his incredible knowledge and love of this area. Next stop is the Valley of the Giants, Tree Top Walk which reaches 40 metres high into the forest canopy. A ground level walk is available through the Ancient Empire, a remarkable pocket of Tingle   Forest , wide girthed trees up to 5 metres wide.

Dinner & Overnight: Karri   Valley Resort, Pemberton.

 

Day 10: Pemberton to Margaret River (B, L, D)

Today we travel through the forest country of Pemberton to the wine growing region of Margaret   River . This morning attempt a climb of the 61 metre tall Gloucester Tree, enjoy a visit to the Fine Wood Craft Gallery, then morning tea at scenic Beedalup   Falls . We break for lunch before heading to Augusta ’s Cape   Leeuwin  and then north towards Margaret Rivers Surfers Point Lookout.

Dinner & Overnight: All Seasons Margaret   River (motel room, ensuite).

 

 

Day 11: Margaret River to Perth (B, L)

Today enjoy touring around the Margaret River Region. We visit Eagles Heritage Raptor Centre then to Mammoth   Cave  for a guided tour before breaking for a picnic lunch, we visit Xanadu Winery for a tour and tasting followed by a lively demonstration at the Yallingup Shearing Shed. We then stop at the Busselton Jetty with arrival in Perth approximately

Travelling Tip- The main difference between this 11 Day (11DKF) package and the (13DKF) is that the 13 day package includes 2 nights extra accommodation (1 night pre & 1 night post tour) and a few extra meals.
