Day 1: Home Port to Perth (D)

On arrival in Perth be met by Australian Pinnacle tours representative and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy free time for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Perth to Monkey Mia (B, L, D)

We journey north via the 'lobster fishing' town of Port Denison where we stop for lunch by the waters edge. We continue north across the Greenough Flats, better known for unusual 'leaning trees', travel via Geraldton and Northampton to the world heritage listed area of Shark Bay to our overnight accommodation located at the Monkey Mia beach where the dolphins come in.

Dinner & Overnight: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort or similar (motel room with ensuite bathroom).

 

Day 3: Monkey Mia to Carnarvon (B, L, D)

As our accommodation is located right at the dolphin interaction beach, you can spend extra time at the waters edge this morning where you may encounter a visit by the famous Monkey Mia dolphins. As they are wild, dolphin appearances can't be guaranteed but coming in at regular times through the day to interact with people has been a ritual for many years.

 

Maximise your Monkey Mia visit by joining an optional 1 hour wildlife sailing cruise aboard the award-winning, awesome 18 metre sailing catamaran 'Shotover'. This afternoon we visit the town of Denham for lunch, incredible Shell Beach and Stromatolites before travelling north to Carnarvon for our 2 night stay.

Day 4: Coral Bay, Ningaloo Reef (B, D)

Today we arrive at Coral Bay, centrepiece of the pristine 260km Ningaloo Reefinhabited by a rich array of sea life including exquisite corals, rare starfish, giant clams, over 460 speciesof fish, manta rays, dugongand dolphins. Choose this afternoon between a coral viewing or snorkelling cruise (included to the tour price).

Day 5: Carnarvon to Kalbarri (B, L, D)

Known for wildflowers (best seen July to October) and magnificent rocky landscapes we visit Hawks Head in Kalbarri   National Park , one of the areas most spectacular red river gorges. Stops will also be made to view seasonal wildflowers, before we then travel to the coastal township of Kalbarri.

Dinner & Overnight: Best Western Kalbarri Palms Resort or similar (motel room with ensuite bathroom).

 

Day 6: Kalbarri to Perth (B, L, D)

Homeward bound, we enjoy sightseeing along the Kalbarri coastal gorges then travel south breaking for lunch at the rock lobster fishing village of Cervantes - gateway to the renowned Pinnacles   Desert , an amazing moon-like landscape and truly one of Australias most mystical experiences. Time will be allowed to stroll among these limestone spires and take photographs, with arrival back in Perth at approximately .

Day 7: Wave Rock (B, L, D)

Heading east through the scenic Darling Ranges we stop to enjoy morning tea (own expense) at historic York , the first township founded in the Avon   Valley . Enjoy the wonderfully preserved turn of the century Victorian buildings and gain an insight into grand old pioneer days. Continuing east, we pass through sweeping wheatbelt plains and stop enroute at the famous Dog   Cemetery , a tribute to Australian working sheep dogs.

 

 

 

Later we reach the small town of Hyden , home of Wave Rock. Before lunch we visit Hippo's Yawn an unusual natural rock formation shaped like a yawning hippopotamus, regarded by the local Aboriginal people as a special 'women's place'. We break for a picnic lunch at the Wave RockWildflower Shop (W1) or alternatively upgrade to the optional lobster lunch (W1C).

 

 

 

 

We then join an Aboriginal cultural tour of Wave Rock. Walk around and on top of the rock as you hear of dreamtime stories and discover special Aboriginal sacred sites, including Gnamma Holes (water reservoirs) and learn about Aboriginal culture. Estimated at being an incredible 2,700 million years old, the rock has over time been sculptured by nature into the form of a huge breaking wave. Whilst here visit a Wildlife Park featuring Australian animals or alternatively view the unique Antique Lace Collection.

 

 

 

Leaving Wave Rock, we head off to view some other intriguing rock formations of the area including the Humps, a camel hump like granite rock and finally Mulka’s Cave. Your coach captain will explain the ancient Aboriginal cave paintings featured within it, telling the legend of the outcast Aboriginal, “Mulka the Terrible”. Our return journey takes us along back roads through the heart of the Western Australian wheatbelt to the small farming town of Babakin . Here we enjoy some country hospitality over an afternoon tea (own expense) with local town folk.

 

During the wildflower season (September to November) some of Western Australia ’s best wildflowers can be seen in this area and roadside stops will be made to view some of the spectacular native wildflowers. From here, sit back in comfort and contemplate the day’s experiences before returning through the Darling   Ranges giving us elevated panoramic views of Perth ’s city lights with arrival in Perth at approximately .

Day 8: Perth & Fremantle Half Day Tour (B, D)

Join our Perth & Fremantle   City Explorer Tour (PFC). Starting in Perth , the tour takes in all major attractions, beginning with Kings Park botanical gardens, where you have time to experience a walk through the trees canopies on the “Tree Top Walk”. Later continue to Cottesloe   Beach  before arriving at historic Fremantle. Here you join the Swan River Cruise back to Perth with Captain Cook Cruises. Onboard, relax into panoramic scenery of Perth as you enjoy a Western Australian wine tasting whilst cruising by extravagant waterfront houses of Millionaires Row. Return to Perth at approximately Alternatively, stay on in Fremantle for free time and return on a later cruise.

Day 9: Perth to Albany (B, L, D)

We set off south through the farmland country and mountainous terrain of the Stirling   Range   National Park and Porongurup   Range  before arriving in the historic port of Albany , Western Australia ’s first European settlement. This afternoon visit Mount   Clarence  for panoramic views over Albany and King George Sound waterway below.

Dinner & Overnight: Comfort Inn, Albany or similar.

 

 

Day 10: Albany to Pemberton (B, L, D)

After coastal sightseeing visiting “The Gap” and “ Natural   Bridge ”, we travel via Denmark through spectacular karri tree forests to the coastal resort town of Walpole . Here we join our local guide “Gary” for a luncheon cruise on Nornalup Inlet, widely regarded as one of the last great wilderness areas. Gary will delight all with his incredible knowledge and love of this area. Next stop is the Valley of the Giants, Tree Top Walk which reaches 40 metres high into the forest canopy. A ground level walk is available through the Ancient Empire, a remarkable pocket of Tingle   Forest , wide girthed trees up to 5 metres wide.

Day 11: Pemberton to Margaret River (B, L, D)

Today we travel through the forest country of Pemberton to the wine growing region of Margaret   River . This morning attempt a climb of the 61 metre tall Gloucester Tree, enjoy a visit to the Fine Wood Craft Gallery, then morning tea at scenic Beedalup   Falls . We break for lunch before heading to Augusta ’s Cape   Leeuwin  and then north towards Margaret Rivers Surfers Point Lookout.

Dinner & Overnight: All Seasons Margaret   River (motel room, ensuite).

 

 

Day 12: Margaret River to Perth (B, L, D)

Today enjoy touring around the Margaret River Region. We visit Eagles Heritage Raptor Centre then to Mammoth   Cave  for a guided tour before breaking for a picnic lunch, we visit Xanadu Winery for a tour and tasting followed by a lively demonstration at the Yallingup Shearing Shed. We then stop at the Busselton Jetty with arrival in Perth approximately

Day 13: Perth to Home Port (B)
