This 19 Day Perth-Darwin adventure tour includes the highlights of the Kimberley (including Broome, Mitchell Falls and the many gorges of the Gibb River Road) as well as the inland gorges of Karijini and the beautiful western coastline. The tour combines camping in camping parks with some remote and secluded bush camps.

Day 1
Leaving Perth we begin our adventure, heading north via the crayfishing town of Cervantes to the eerie pinnacles desert. Time for lunch and a stroll through the unique limestone formations before continuing on to a bush camp by the beach at secluded Lucky Bay. After dinner you can sample some traditional damper cooked by your tour guide.

Day 2
We need 4WD this morning as we cross huge sand dunes to the beach where we have fun sandboarding, swimming and reef walking. 4WD back over the dunes, travelling to Kalbarri, stopping en-route at the dramatic coastline. After lunch we climb down into the beautiful Z-bend gorge in the Kalbarri National Park for a swim in the Murchison River pools. Our overnight camp tonight is at Nanga Bay Holiday Resort (working sheep station) where you can relax and unwind in the huge hot spa.

Day 3
We spend the morning with the wild dolphins and lunch on the white sands by the turqoise waters of Monkey Mia. There is an optional wildlife cruise on the impressive 'Shotover' sailing catamaran. After a stop at Denham, (the most westerly town in Australia), we take in the panoramic view at Eagle Bluff and look for stingrays, reef sharks and dugongs in the clear waters below. 4WD down a track to a secluded area of the fascinating Shell Beach. Tonight we will sleep around the campfire in a secluded bush setting.

Day 4
Today travelling to tropical Carnarvon, before arriving at Coral Bay. We spend the afternoon at this beautiful location, swimming and snorkelling where the clear waters of Ningaloo Reef meet the pristine sands. Tonight, 'nibbles' on the beach while enjoying a serene sunset.

Day 5
Many optional tours (seasonal) are available this morning, including: scuba diving, whale sharks (from a spotter plane), manta ray and dugong cruises or fun on quad bikes. We may call in to Exmouth for passengers joining or leaving the tour, then take the back roads to our overnight camp at
Duck Creek.

Day 6
Travelling inland to the iron ore mining town of Tom Price for lunch, we then drive to the magnificent Karijini National Park. After an awesome view from Oxer's Lookout into the junction of four gorges, there is an easy climb along the bottom of Weano Gorge to Handrail Pool; or for the adventurous, we can do most of "The Miracle Mile". Tonight we traverse a 4WD track to a private camp, sleeping under the stars of a striking Pilbara sky.

Day 7
Climbing down into Dales Gorge we hike from the beautiful (and icy cold) fern-fringed Circular Pool to the stunning Fortescue Falls. We discover the hidden Fern Pool with time to enjoy the year round waterfalls and lush surroundings. Nature is at its best here with a vast array of colours. After lunch we depart Karijini, a brief stop for showers at Auski then travel one of the most scenic outback tracks in Australia to our superb bush camp near Marble Bar.

Day 8
On our last day we will explore the Coongan River area, Jasperlite at Marble Bar, an abandoned mining town and stunning Pilbara scenery, arriving in Broome around sunset.

Please note - You will be pre-booked into dorm-style backpacker accomodation in Broome for 3 nights (or arrange your own accomodation and save $100 per person). No meals or touring are included, however Broome has a very efficient bus service for easy travel around the town and out to Cable Beach.

Day 9 & 10
Two free days for you to explore Broome's highlights.

Day 11
Our tour guide will pick you up from your accomodation. This morning we head east from Broome along the highway before branching off along dirt roads. We explore by torchlight Tunnel Creek, hideout of the outlaw Pigeon, and then through Windjana Gorge looking for some freshwater crocodiles. Our camp tonight is at Windjana Gorge.
Day 12
Today we start on our trek along the famous Gibb River Road, with our first stop being for a swim and explore at Bells, one of the Kimberley's most spectacular gorges. From here we continue on via delightful Galvans Gorge before arriving at our first bush camp at Barnett River Gorge.

Day 13
Leaving the Gibb, we travel via Kalumburu Road, heading for the remote Mitchell Plateau. Tonight we camp on the banks of the King Edward River, where we can swim in the refreshing pools and wash off the dust. Later we can look for 'eyes' in the river.

Day 14
A full day to spend exploring this spectacular area. We 4WD over rugged terrain and through forests of palms before a trek to Mertens Falls and the stunning Mitchell Falls (optional helicopter flight available). Plenty of time to swim and photograph these famous attractions. We camp here this evening.

Day 16
This morning we can relax for a while or try our hand at fishing, before rejoining the Gibb River Rd (one of the roughest roads in the world). Tonight we share the experience of a Kimberley sunset over the Cockburn Ranges, and camp overnight at a local cattle station.

Day 17
A short drive today, crossing the Pentecost River to the award winning El Questro station. We enjoy a walk through, and soak in, the palm-fringed Zebedee Hot Springs. Our next visit is to the magnificent El Questro gorge, where we can hike through the halfway point for a refreshing swim; or, for the more energetic, a trek to the end for the pristine waterfall. This afternoon we head to Kununurra, ending our trek on the Gibb River Rd.

Day 18
This morning (early) we can take an optional plane flight over Lake Argyle, the diamond mine and the Bungle Bungle Ranges. Leaving Kununurra, we cross over the Western Australia/Northern Territory border via Katherine, and stop for the night at the delightful Edith Falls or Douglas Hot Springs.

Day 19
Today we visit Litchfield. Here we can swim and explore the tropical falls of this beautiful National Park, including Buley Rockhole and Wangi Falls. We then head to Darwin arriving early evening.
