Day 1 Depart Broome for Myrindi Bay.
Fly by light aircraft from Broome, or join us in Derby as we depart Derby Jetty this afternoon on the cruise of a lifetime! Settle in to your comfortable 82ft vessel ‘Discovery One’ as we cruise up King Sound to the picturesque Myrindi Bay.
Day 2 Silica Beach, Cockatoo Island, Crocodile Creek, Silvergull Creek
We make our way to the bright white sands of Silica Beach. Relax on the sand or take a walk. This is a photographers’ paradise. Back onboard, take a close look at Cockatoo Island and it’s Iron Ore mine. This afternoon we visit Crocodile Creek where we enjoy lunch and then a swim in the stunning fresh water falls and rock pools. Enjoy some sundowners back onboard and take in your surroundings as we anchor in beautiful Silvergull Creek for the night.
Day 3 ‘Squatters Arms’
After breakfast we go on an excursion to ‘Squatters Arms’ and meet a couple who have made their home in this timeless land. Enjoy a fresh water swim in their tank fed by a natural spring, then wander through nature’s garden. This is one of the most enjoyable stops you will experience. After a BBQ lunch and you have time to shop for locally made jewellery.
Day 4 Montgomery Reef, Doubtful Bay
Watch the landscape change as we cruise past Montgomery Reef on our way to Raft Point, home to some of Australia’s oldest aboriginal paintings. This afternoon we walk to the caves, where you will take in the spectacular views over Doubtful Bay. Learn about the Wandjina people who once inhabited this land. Witness the vivid sunset as we anchor here for the night.
Day 5 Talbot Bay, Horizontal Waterfalls, Cyclone Creek.
Prepare yourselves for an exciting afternoon as we make our way to Talbot Bay, home of the Horizontal Waterfalls. You will experience an exciting fast boat ride through the Falls and Cyclone Creek. Marvel at the incredible marine life including the impressive Sleeper sharks that have made Discovery One their home. A delicious dinner is served under the Kimberley moon.
Day 6 Package Ends
After breakfast we bid you farewell as you take off by seaplane from Talbot Bay and enjoy a low-level scenic flight over the Buccaneer Archipelago back to Broome or Derby.
